5 Mistakes Everyone Is Allowed In A Relationship

2 minutes

Relationships are about two individuals working together. It is a two-way process and there is no shortcut to it. But since there are two separate individuals there can be a clash of interests. You need to understand and adjust to these differences. Differences give birth to hiding and making mistakes.

Here are ten mistakes you should be allowed to make in a relationship:

1. White Lies:

Showing that you like the gift you were presented with even when you don’t or appreciating your partner’s cooked food when it doesn’t really taste good are the kind of white lies which should be allowed among partners.

2. Not being ashamed of your past:

Your relationship involves different individuals living different lives before meeting each other. So, it is alright to not be ashamed of your past. Your past should not affect your existing relationship.

3. Being jealous at times:

It’s alright to be scared of losing the one you love. So being jealous at times should be allowed in your relationship. The jealousy should not take over doubt, though.

4. Prioritising yourself:

You are two different people anyway so keeping yourself in priority should be excused. There is no harm in doing things for yourself if they make you happy. Afterall, your partner would want to see you happy always.

5. Spending time with your friends:

There is no rule which says you should not spend time with your friends when you are committed in a relationship. You can spend time with whoever you want.
