As India celebrates its 69th independence day, there are a bunch of people who are upset about the fact that it landed up on a Saturday. Did you not get disappointed to see the 2015 calendar for the first time, “Yaar, is baar ek chutti kum ho gayi!”
That raises a question in our mind, “Is the independence day restricted to a mere holiday, where you buy a flag from a poor child who comes running when you stop at the signal.” Oh! I am wrong here as well, the data says that the sale of our national flag too have gone down this year.

Isn’t it ironical that on our independence day, we are not even given the freedom to buy booze! Why are we forced to keep the offices shut?
From the #SaluteSelfie to #WorldWishes India, we show our respect to the national anthem by liking and sharing pics on various social media channels.
Is that it? Can’t we change the way we celebrate our independence day. Can’t we do something meaningful on this day – Help a kid? Plant trees? Clean our neighbourhood?
