Roshan, a 23-year-old IT Lawyer hailing from Lucknow, the capital of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, is known for its rich cultural heritage and architectural splendour. This vibrant city is famous for its culinary delights, including the renowned Awadhi cuisine, and is home to magnificent historical monuments such as the Bara Imambara and the Rumi Darwaza.

Lucknow also boasts a thriving arts and crafts scene, with its intricate Chikankari embroidery and delicate pottery. Experience the charm of Lucknow through its graceful heritage and warm hospitality.

He recently graduated from law school at O.P. Jindal. Beyond the legal intricacies of his profession, Roshan finds solace in the enchanting notes of the piano.

Though initially hesitant to share his musical talent, the pandemic prompted him to share his melodies online for the sheer joy of it. In the intricate symphony of his life, Roshan has an elder brother, and together, they form a family of four.

The melody of Roshan’s life hit a dissonant note when his first relationship came to an end during the challenging times of the pandemic. Struggling to navigate the tumultuous sea of emotions, he decided to seek the shores of counseling to find healing and learn the art of moving on.

His alma mater, O.P. Jindal, had a subscription with YourDOST, making it the natural choice as the official mental health partner.

In the virtual realm, Roshan found a guiding melody in Ms. Sonali Jamwal, his counselor from YourDOST. Through their sessions, he unfurled the tapestry of his emotions, sharing the raw pain of his breakup and the echoes of insecurities that lingered within.

“I was not having the best time of my life, and I thought discussing my breakup with a professional helped me heal through things,”

Roshan expressed his vulnerability as a testament to the safe space counseling provided.

Counseling became a transformative journey for Roshan, offering techniques that orchestrated his healing process. Journaling emerged as a powerful tool, allowing him to compose his thoughts on paper and navigate the emotional landscape within.

“Therapy gave me the space to speak about anything with a professional who will be neutral.”

He acknowledged, emphasizing the importance of having a non-judgmental ear during the tumultuous period.
Roshan also discovered the art of disentangling himself from the web of social isolation when difficulties arose.

Counseling became his compass, guiding him back to his social circle and providing strategies to cope.

Expressing his gratitude to Ms. Sonali Jamwal, Roshan emphasized the profound impact of being heard without judgment. In the therapeutic space, judgment melted away, leaving room for understanding, compassion, and healing.

Roshan’s Warrior Tips:
1. “Acknowledge the grace in every aspect of life, cultivating gratitude as a powerful force for healing.”
2.“Learn to let go of the past and start living in the present: Embrace the art of release, allowing the past to fade as you step into the harmonious rhythm of the present.”
