Harmony in Solitude: Sarang’s Journey from Disruption to Productivity

4 minutes

Sarang, a 32-year-old IT professional hailing from Amravati and currently working in Pune, has always been a reserved individual since childhood. Since his formative years, he has been a steadfast and introspective individual, finding solace in the simplicity of life.

A lover of literature, he can often be found immersed in books, and his leisure hours echo with the sounds of cricket and badminton.

Despite the bustling demands of the IT world, Sarang’s heart finds comfort in the rhythm of his own company. Anchored by strong family bonds, this reserved soul navigates life with a profound appreciation for the uncomplicated joys that surround him. His strong family bonds, consisting of four members, provide a foundation of support and love.

“In the quiet moments, one discovers the symphony of their own soul, a melody only heard by those who find joy in solitude.”

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic brought unforeseen challenges into Sarang’s life. It was equally difficult for every individual and everyone needed to support one another during this global crisis.

Wrestling with the disruptions caused by the global crisis, Sarang found himself grappling with a significant concern—maintaining productivity in the face of uncertainties. The shift to remote work during the pandemic further aggravated his struggles, making it difficult for him to find his rhythm and focus on his professional responsibilities.

“I had lost my productivity which posed a bigger challenge for me and I had no other option but to tackle and overcome it.”

It was during these trying times that Sarang turned to the need for expert help for assistance. Recognising the need to regain control over his productivity and professional areas, he sought guidance on how to navigate the challenges that had surfaced during the pandemic.

Sarang realised how his organisation IISC Bangalore partnered with YourDOST to provide mental and emotional support to those who needed it. He signed up on the platform and connected with an expert. His decision to seek help was a step in the right direction towards betterment.

Sarang connected with Ms Ishita Attri, a counselor whose virtual presence became a lifeline. With her guidance, he embarked on a transformative journey towards reclaiming his productivity and inner peace.

Ms Ishita’s approach was pragmatic, offering a structured framework to rebuild Sarang’s daily life. Together, they crafted a schedule that not only organised his professional commitments but also safeguarded moments for self-reflection and the pursuits he cherished.

Breathing exercises and physical activities became not just strategies for time management but rituals of self-care, crucial for sustaining the resilient soul of this solitary warrior.

“In the hands of the right guide, even solitude becomes a voyage of self-discovery.”

The ripple effect of the therapeutic journey was profound. Sarang, once adrift in the pandemic-induced turbulence, now sailed with renewed purpose. His days were characterised by regained focus, a testament to the effectiveness of YourDOST’s intervention.

Sarang acknowledges Ms Ishita’s pivotal role in his transformation.

“Thank you Ms Ishita for standing beside me and encouraging me to get past my challenges. Thank you for being my guiding light in the darkest of my phase. I will forever be grateful for your efforts and contributions in my life.”

Sarang’s transformation journey showed a positive impact which helped them overcome his challenge and is better at managing and prioritising his work. He rates his journey an excellent 5 out of 5 in terms of getting better.

Sarang’s Warrior Tips:
1. “Start taking therapy when needed especially if you cannot find somebody to confide in.”
2.”Learn to respect time, time will respect you accordingly. It’s important to chart out our plans for better efficiency.”
