Story In Frames: This is C’estlavie’s Cinematic Universe of How She Handled Social Anxiety Through Therapy.

A family can be annoying, chaotic and lots more, but underneath all of that lies one thing — love! No matter where you are in the world family is where you can come to, and everything starts to feel fine after that.

While we have read and heard about Karma and its narratives, on the flip side, the reality is what marries Karma and the present into a way of life. The lessons we learn from these are personal and deep only if we read between the lines.

C’est la vie – that’s life: that’s how things happen.

It is exciting to hear a person’s life and then ask them for their name’s meaning, and this is C’estlavie’s proud story of how she went after frames and found her sanity there.

She is an adventurous individual whose belief system is to have her own identity at the end of the day. She also mentioned that she is from Lonavala and a student from Whistling Woods.

A warm family that she has slowly gotten close to, especially with her mom. She has two siblings and expressed that she looks after them with extreme care and candour.

“I like to live life one day at a time and wish to do it my way. While all of our stories are after something, it is important we hook a passion to it and keep rowing ahead until we hit new waters.”

She got to know about YourDOST as her college had a subscription with the organisation and on attending a few workshops and seminars. She decided to give counseling a shot.

“The idea of therapy was a captivating experience. These were conversations, I thought I’ll never have with anybody.”

C’estlavie works for the film industry and has always found her peace there. When everything around us gets too much, as a healthy coping mechanism, it is common to find people bury themselves in their person.

She describes that film watching and the world of cinema kept her going through her good, bad and ugly. She holds such respect for her profession. While the destination is always exciting to look forward to, the journey is surely testing and it is only for those with a strong heart.

“My decision of being a part of this unconventional industry did not come easy, I went through a series of conversations with people and then got here. It is difficult but at least get to be and do what I want to, unapologetically!”

It sometimes gets challenging to be a part of a platonic work environment, where there are constant changes and you keep oscillating between responsibilities. She explained that this would often lead to communication gaps and she would get distracted.

“It became a struggle to stay on par with schedules, and I started slacking here and there which started intervening in my personal life. It affected a whole lot of my mental space and I would lose focus on even the smallest things.”

C’estlavie was dealing with Social anxiety and things would worsen for her especially at set when people approached her. She had to always be careful and alert when it happened and find ways to calm her down.

“This would mostly leave me feeling restless and exhausted and I was super worried of how this is going to affect my future, especially with the work do.”

She firmly believed that she needed a professional to sit down with her and discuss these things. She booked her first session with her counselor Ms.Janice Saldanha.

C’estlavie articulated that speaking to her counselor was a great let out and she mostly tried following the techniques her counselor suggested.

“While these changes took time I was keen to go after the progress, it helped me find my purpose and the deeper meaning to myself.”

C’estlavie said that she is more confident now and does not have a lot of issues talking about her issues to people. It has also helped her anxiety calm down drastically and she is taking much better care of herself now.

In terms of feeling better on a scale of 1 to 5, she rated herself with a 3.5.

As her name goes that’s how life is that is how it happens, she has been an enigmatic fighter through all her lows. From owning her life & empowering several others, she exemplifies strength, and we wish her all the best with everything that she does.

C’estlavie’s Warrior Tips:
1.”It is important to always express no matter and it helps eventually.”
2.”Stop giving yourself the time to think about how it would affect others for things you wish to do for yourself that give you the happiness you need. ”
