I am not sure that what made you reach to this question so can not be sure in what context you wanted the answer. However, in my opinion, it depends upon the situation.
There could be many instances where we can say that the act is either right or wrong, there is no in-between. For examples, many crimes can be put into category that they are wrong, no matter what. In terms of positive, helping someone in general can be said as right act.
However, there could be situations where this black and white concept appears to be gray. We can find many instances like this at various scenerios. Generally, they are debatable and different people can look at them with different opinions. You can find many instances from Mahabharata (I recently watched the series and can not let go from my mind ) which can not be said as completely right or wrong and they usually term them as Dharma Sankat.
