Not able to have sound sleep can be bothersome, I can totally understand. Here are a few general things that you can try out:
Stop using gadgets (especially checking your phone) at least half an hour before you go to sleep.
Try to take a shower in lukewarm water before going to sleep.
Try to have a fixed or consistent time for going to sleep.
Do not shift your positions very frequently, when trying to get sleep.
Lie down in bd, only when you feel sleepy.
Try doing breathing exercises or guided meditation before sleeping. You can also try listening to calming music or sleep-inducing music, with your earphones on. You will get multiple options on youtube.
