Thank you for trusting this forum with your concern and writing here. You've faced significant distress in the past and your journey and determination is commendable. Anxiety and depression require treatment and you followed with that, which is great. Finding faith and guidance in spirituality is often helpful, especially due to the emphasis on mindfulness that can be beneficial for anxiety. It might also lead you to discover the true meaning and purpose.
It is often difficult to maintain a positive outlook and thinking positively when the external feedback we get from people who matter is negative. What is essential to note here is that although we might try to eliminate negative thoughts and replace them with positive thoughts, it is unfair to expect ourselves to be optimistic when incidents happen that might upset us. It is equally important to accept, process and evaluate the negatives just as much as we do with the positives.
Getting negative feedback from your peers can be upsetting and stressful, and it is okay to expect them to be supportive here. But quitting socialization might not be the best approach because we co-exist with our friends, family, colleagues, etc. It is an essential part of our daily interactions and some relationships might also be excellent support systems and critiques to us. However, a bit more insight into your dynamics with them might give us an understanding of your situation and how can we help you better. You don't have to struggle, nor come to decisions immediately. It is important how you feel, and we can talk about it. I recommend you speak to us over chat sessions for the same.
