I understand what you're going through, especially in a culture such as ours where arranged marriages are the norm. The first thing I'd like you to know is that times are changing in our country, things are changing and people are more open in terms of accepting things such as marriages for love. Is there any possibility of speaking with your family about your partner and finding a way to get the marriage arranged? You could try that.
I see that you have some misgivings about your appearance based on your skin colour. Firstly, Skin colour doesn't make a person more or less beautiful. It's all about perspective and every person has different preferences and different tastes. Secondly, and I'm sure you've heard this many times, but your personality matters more. Who you are is more important than what you look like and you seem to be a wonderful person: You're smart, confident and realstic, you like travelling, you're honest and aware of your limitations as well as your strengths. Those are good qualities to possess.
I would advise you to be hopeful and keep an open mind, it may take a while, but you'll find someone out there for you, someone who's willing to compromises with you. Just keep reminding yourself to never lose hope.
