Hello, having low confidence isn’t a bad thing a lot of people who you see who have high levels of confidence have increased their confidence over time where as some do naturally have a lot of confidence.
Don’t be hard on yourself as this is normal and it’s especially normal for someone to feel more introverted when amongst a group of people. I’d like to consider myself as someone with a lot of confidence but sometimes I do find myself lacking it in certain situations which is fine.
People think that when you have low levels of confidence it’s game over but that’s not the case personally I feel that gaining confidence is rather simple and not as hard as people make out.
First thing that helps a lot is positive thinking. If you can maintain a positive mindset from the second you wake up to when you go to sleep that will help you a lot because when you think it unsettling things that end up upsetting you or putting you in a bad mood you lose confidence you don’t have that feel good factor about yourself anymore so positive thinking is key to allow you to be in a good mood, when you’re in a good mood you’re more likely to engage in conversation naturally and you’ll feel more relaxed enabling you to engage more freely with others.
The next thing that could help is talking to other people more whether it’s in person or over text or phone call. The more introverted you are when it comes to human interaction you’re going to end up placing yourself in your own little bubble where you feel like you can’t approach people and they can’t approach you, so if you allow yourself to frequently converse with other people you’ll build bridges with others and this will allow you to feel more comfortable opening up and making conversation.
The last one which people probably don’t realise can make a massive difference is self hygiene. When you look after yourself, for example keeping well groomed and you’re not looking shabby you tend to have an aura about yourself you feel like you’re the main....even something as simple as a hair cut can give you a boost of 10 levels in confidence so looking after yourself is also very important.
