There is no single answer to your question and different people will be having different opinions about the same. Moreover, it also depends upon your longer term goals as well. However, I accept that at this stage, you yourself might not be aware of them.
So, in my opinion, if one is looking for a high salary job after finishing his/her bachelor's degree, he/she should go for branch. No one can deny that by opting for branches like Computer Science, IT, Electronics and Electrical, one will have a higher probability of landing into a job with good pay.
But yeah, if you have other plans such as pursuing MBA or something after bachelors, then you should go for a better ranked college as in that case, which subject you studied will not matter at all but the tag of your Alma matter will always be there on your CV.
(I answered this considering you don't have any preference among different branches and have similar interests in all)
