He could still hear the noise which he didn\u2019t want to so he covered his ears with the palm of his hands pressing them as tight as he could. As he sat in the corner with his eyes shut, he felt something cold on his cheek. Apparently it had travelled all the way from his eyes and he wiped it off quickly reminding himself \u2018Crying is for the weak.\u2019<b> Can you relate?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\"><b>\u00a0<\/b> <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">It\u2019s a notion well fit in the minds of all that <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.yourdost.com\/2015\/09\/importance-of-crying.html\" target=\"_blank\">crying<\/a> is for weaklings. When a child cries, parents try to console by saying the same -well in an indirect manner- that, \u201c<i>you\u2019re a strong boy\/girl so don\u2019t cry.<\/i>\u201d <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">How many times in our lives have we tried to hold it in? Maybe when your colleagues ask you about your spouse and the image of him hitting you flashes in front of your eyes. Maybe when you lose someone precious. Maybe you are guilty and the only way to vent out that anger and guilt is somehow shut. I can go on and on with this and maybe that\u2019s why he reminded himself that \u2018crying is for the weak.\u2019 <\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">Well, actually no. It isn\u2019t. Read it twice and two more times again. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">Ever wondered why the doctor gently hits the rear of a new born child? What happens next? It cries doesn\u2019t it? It helps it breathe. Crying is indeed natural and a way to vent out everything that burdens your heart and clutters your mind. It lightens the burden on your heart. You realise you are a human and by that you realise you have feelings. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">When people don\u2019t vent it out, they lash it on others hampering many things. Tell me how can such a person be strong? Strength resonates with love, courage, etc. How will you know hurt when you haven\u2019t been through it? <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">And how will you then know what happiness is? <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">Crying is the heart\u2019s way to show that you are becoming stronger. Even the Prophets have cried and so have world leaders. It takes lot more than guts to accept our feelings. To feel the pain, the fall, the rise, the end. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">That yes, I am strong enough to cry and accept my emotions instead of lying to my own soul. That yes, I am becoming stronger and if something hurts me, I\u2019ll make sure it doesn\u2019t happen to anybody else.
