8 Tips for Christmas Season

3 minutes

IN BRIEF: Christmas is a time for massive celebrations, and of course time to shop and cook a lot. Time to give and receive a ton of gifts. Naturally, with all these trinkets comes a lot of stress. In this post we look into 8 tips to organise yourself during this yuletide.

Christmas should be a season of hope, joyful expectation and of peaceful preparation. The following tips can help you celebrate joyfully.

Chuck the To-do list: Its holiday season don’t stress yourself, being organized is good but sometimes all you need is to take it easy. Stop thinking “If I won’t do this then what will happen?” So be in the mood to enjoy and be excited to celebrate.

Time for Gifts: Every Christmas you plan to buy a new dress or a new phone but in the end you need to cut down your wish list so this Christmas limit the gift exchange with close friends or kids and save for yourself.  If you are not happy on a festival then what’s the point of it?

Donate: Well yes festivals are for all of us but think about those who can’t afford a piece of cloth to cover their bodies , how about instead of exchanging gifts , just give to those who actually need it and will truly appreciate it . Teach your kids, brother, sister and everyone the art of gifting.

Crunch and Crunch: It winter time and there are dry fruits available everywhere, keep them handy and burst your stress. Eating or munching something helps in de-stressing as mind gets the signal that it’s a not a situation to be tensed about. But that doesn’t mean you keep gulping candies, it can have bad health effects so how about having some dry fruits (cashews, almonds etc.).

Clean it up: Festivals gives us another reason to clean the house, so sweep, mop and separate all the things you don’t need. Cleaning is also another way to keep yourself distracted and feel calm but if it’s too much and is stressing you then divide it , assign everyone the area they need to clean or what they need to clean .

Decorate your house: The feeling of festival comes when the surroundings are pleasant and they are giving the feeling of joy. So DO NOT FORGET to decorate your house , you don’t need to so much a small beautiful Christmas tree , some lights and bells will automatically will change the look of your house . You can also go on DIY (Do It Yourself) mode and create your own decorations.

Make a call: Call up people with whom you have not talked for a very long time, reduce these communication gaps and wish them a happy life ahead. Making an effort from your side won’t make you small but will give reason for another person to think that, “why dint they do it?”

Don’t forget to enjoy : Festivals are made so that you can enjoy with your loved ones so in the race of making the day perfect do not forget to enjoy and celebrate, talk to everyone , plan some family games or an outing so that all of you can spend time together  and have a memorable time.
